Extend-O-Feed
(Feeders)
SUN's Extend-O-Feed is the industry's choice of Lead Edge Feeders for more than 30 OEM Manufacturers worldwide. The patented extended stroke design transfers the blank past the nips of the feed rolls for nearly the full width of the sheet. That leads to better registration, board size flexibility, and eliminates grip crush caused by the feed rolls. The Extend-O-Feed reduces set up time and maintenance as well as interfaces with pre-feeders. |

SunTrac
(Vacuum Transfer)
SunTrac Vacuum Transfer retrofits are the ultimate upgrade for your corrugated finishing machine. It removes many high maintenance bearings, gears and associated adjusting mechanisms that also make for long set-up times. SunTrac extends from split line to split line and the full working width of the machine for continuous control of the sheet through the printing process. The sheet is gripped strongly by vacuum as soon as it exits the feed rolls and is not released until it is well into the die cut of slotter unit. |
- Advantages
1. Accurate colors to color registration and even warped sheets are held flat as they pass through the print stations so that registration is excellent. If the machine is also equipped with Digital Harmonic Registers with SunSet 2.0 Computer, the registration is unsurpassed.
2. Less maintenance and most of the high maintenance components of the print unit are eliminated. Aside from normal lubrication, maintenance on the SunTrac unit is minimal.
3. Quicker set-up and since the pull collars and pull bands are gone, many set-up steps are eliminated.
4. No pull bands are needed and because the impression cylinder is included in the vacuum enclosure, the sheet is controlled with out the need for pull bands.
5. Dramatically improves the squareness of the box and aligns the manufacturers flap properly through the control of the sheet up to the die cut station.

MicroGrind
(Die Cut Accuracy System)
The SUN product MicroGrind was developed to improve and provide consistent box dimensional stability. MicroGrind enhances die cut accuracy by providing a consistent blanket size. Every 10,000 revolutions .001" (.025mm) of the surface is removed from the anvil blanket while the machine is running. The anvil speed is automatically adjusted to compensate for the reduced anvil diameter. This assures that the anvil speed is always correct and that the blank size will be consistent throughout the run. |

SunSet 2.0
(Computer Control System)
SUN’s SunSet 2.0 Computer Control System is the state of the art computerized set-up control for your finishing machine. The touch-screen operator interface allows for easy and quick machine set-up by utilizing order storage to retrieve the parameters in which previous jobs were run. All components of control are non-proprietary and all functions are handled by PC compatible hardware running on a standard operating system. This system has the ability to be connected to a standard network.

Digital Harmonic Register
(Harmonic Registers)
SUN’s Digital Harmonic Registers completely replace the old style registers including the main gear and journal. These harmonic registers are controlled by a servo-motor that adjusts the register and can set the register position repeatable to .001". |

1. Zero backlash - There is no lost motion between the gear train and the print cylinder. This "slop" is a significant source of register variation.
2. Reduce frequent maintenance with this engineering technology that ensures long life with no need for periodic adjustment. The servo motor life expectancy is greater than 80 years. Periodic tightening of the registers is not needed.
3. Extreme Register Accuracy - the position can be set for consistent .001" repeatability.

(Sheet Cleaner)
SUN’s PrintPrep Unit is an in line sheet cleaner that can be adapted to your existing finishing equipment. PrintPrep effectively cleans sheets by utilizing a de-ionizing static bar to neutralize the electrical charge that binds the dust particles to the liner and a rotating non-static brush to sweep them away. PrintPrep is equipped with SunTrac to ensure accurate sheet transfer. |

SUN RainbowGraphics Chambered Doctor Blade is a PLC based flexo inking system that will replace your out dated wipe roll, single blade or old chambered blade system. This totally enclosed ink system is available up to 220" wide and is well equipped with features such as: ink flow detector, anilox roll drive, ink surge suppressor and filter, soap dispenser, electronically paced pump, continuous air bladder loading and a chambered blade support beam.
