Subject: Norgren Air Valve Replacement
Machine Models: TEI FEEDMASTERs after P10934 with Norgren Air
Valves V61R611DC313AY
Back to Index
Problem:
It has been
discovered that a particular air valve (Norgren V61R611DC313AY:
Alliance PN# 1025064) operates improperly under certain
circumstances. The air valves that control the air motors for the
in and out motion of the adjustable power tampers can stall or
freeze if backpressure was applied while in motion. This would
require the operator to work the controls for the air motor (in and
out) to free the spool. Other than this occasional occurrence the
valves and motor work normally.

Recommended Action:
Replacement
valves (Norgren V61RA11DC213AA: Alliance PN# 1027792) are being sent
and should arrive soon to your plant. Replacement of the original
valves is recommended to achieve consistent and proper operation of
the power adjust tampers. Below is a picture showing the area of
the valves.

Once this is complete please send
the original valves back to Alliance as quickly as possible.
